a.m. UPD was notified of a
four-year-old boy found wandering near
the Beatrice McDonald Building and was
taken to BMB, Room 108. Two officers
responded and contacted the child. The
mother was located and united with the
child.

18 Just remember, it's all in your head...

p.m. A mental person called UPD
and reported that he was having problems
with the people and was upset. Three
officers responded to investigate and one
officer transported him to a medical
center because he required medication.

a.m. While on patrol in MAC
housing, an officer observed drug
paraphernalia in open view. UPD contacted
the resident advisor on duty who
responded. A Sergeant and two officers
arrested a young adult female for
Misconduct Involving Controlled Substance
in the 6th degree.

p.m. A staff member called UPD
to report that a juvenile had pulled the
audible fire alarm at Building K. An
officer responded and talked with the
five-year-old child and his father about
the dangers of false alarms.

21 I'm okay, I've only had five
hurricanes?

a.m. After a routine traffic
stop, an UPD Sgt. observed an alcohol
odor and subsequently arrested the driver
for driving while intoxicated. The
perpetrator was processed at the APD 5th
Ave. sub station, transported to the
magistrate and remanded to the 6th
Ave. Correction Facility.

22 Heads up for construction!

a.m. A student called UPD to
report a man and woman creating a
disturbance in the Alder lot. UPD chief
and two officers responded to
investigate, but the man and woman were
gone.
- 12:06
p.m. A staff member called UPD
and reported receiving an obscene and
harassing phone call. An officer
responded and is investigating.
- 3:03
p.m. A staff member contacted
UPD to report that a crane had fallen
over in the east campus central lot and
was leaking dirty diesel fuel. The deputy
chief and an officer responded to
investigate and contacted the proper
authority.

Five
moose, one of which was a bull, were sighted this
week at UAA. Students, staff and faculty new to
UAA and to Alaska, don't be alarmed they're all
over the place!
