Kuelper snags player of the week award
The Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced UAA setter Kasey Kuelper as GNAC co-Player of the Week following her performance in home wins over Northwest Nazarene and Seattle University, Oct. 3-4.

Kuelper, a senior setter, tallied a GNAC season-high with 64 assists in both wins including a 3-2 victory over NNU. She also had 12 digs as UAA rallied from a two-game deficit and fought off six match points in the fourth game. Kuelper’s 64 assists against Seattle came in just four games and gave the Anchorage native the GNAC’s highest four assist totals of the season.

The weekend also included two milestones for Kuelper as she become the fourth Seawolf to go over 2,000 career assists (2,052) and reached No. 2, behind Jen Szczerbinski , on UAA’s career aces list with 131.

Kuelper, who earned Player of the Week honors last season following her play in the UAA Invitational, shared the award with the University of Alaska Fairbanks’ Mallory Bergstrom.
