Students use blogs to chronicle their lives

(PUBLISHED 31 AUG 2004) Student Derek Heafer stands at his computer updating his online journal with photos of himself and friends hanging out this summer. “It’s fun to get into people’s heads sometimes,” said Heafer, or lophatjello as he has been known in the Live Journal world for the last year and a half. And if that means letting people get into his head every once in a while, he is willing to make that sacrifice. “I think people are naturally curious about other people,” Heafer said.

‘Fourplay’ to run wild at Cyrano’s

(PUBLISHED 31 AUG 2004) Having recently returned from a few years abroad, local actor and author Schatzie Schaefers hasn’t wasted any time in getting her feet wet. Schaefers, a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage theater department, is directing a collection of one -act comedies she has written called “Fourplay.”
